Iago Aspas has risked incurring wrath of Liverpool after urging Alberto Moreno to reject the Reds and stay at Sevilla.

The Anfield club have been heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old Spain international, who has also attracted interest from Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool were thought to have given up on a deal for the left-back but may re-enter the race after Southampton snapped up Reds target Ryan Bertrand on Wednesday night.

And Aspas, who has moved to Sevilla on a season-long loan from Liverpool, urged Moreno to reject any interest from the Reds and stay at the Europa League winners.

“Alberto Moreno would never feel like he does in Sevilla at Liverpool,” Aspas told ABC de Sevilla.

“I’ve been here for three or four days. Now that I belong to Sevilla, I prefer he stays here.”

Moreno scored three goals in 29 La Liga appearances for Sevilla last season.
