Liverpool transfers: Brendan Rodgers backed to spend wisely
Liverpool transfers: Neil Warnock backs Brendan Rodgers to bolster his Reds squad with quality signings this summer

Neil Warnock has backed Brendan Rodgers to bolster his Liverpool squad with some good signings this summer.
The Reds have already completed deals for Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can as Rodgers looks to add to his squad ahead of the Reds’ return to the Champions League next season.
And with Luis Suarez widely expected to leave Anfield in the coming weeks, Warnock is backing the Northern Irishman to spend his transfer budget wisely.
“Liverpool are signing some good players,” Warnock told talkSPORT. “Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana know it all.
“When Tottenham sold Gareth Bale they just panicked and thought, ‘we’ll buy five or six players at £25-30m and it will all come right in the wash’. It doesn’t work like that though, you have to do your homework.
“£4m for Lambert is a great buy. You know what he can do and all the other players they are buying have that little bit of spark.
“Brendan has done well here. He pretty much knows that Suarez is going. He’s going to get the best he can because he needs a good squad with the Champions League next year.”
