Juan Iturbe has fuelled speculation that he could leave Verona this summer after posting a cryptic message on his Twitter page.

The Argentina Under-20 international completed a permanent move to Verona in May after spending the season on loan from Porto, scoring eight goals and making four assists in 33 appearances.

However, reports in Italy suggest that Iturbe could leave Verona despite sealing his permanent move over a month ago, with AC Milan and Liverpool reportedly interested in the midfielder.

Iturbe tweeted, in Italian, the following message: “Patience awaiting the final strike.”

Earlier this week, Verona boss Andrea Mandorline accepts that the Serie A side are facing a battle to keep hold of the highly-rated 21-year-old South American.

“I don’t know where Iturbe will go, but I wish him all the best,” Mandorlini told Sky Sport Italia.

“He has grown so much over the past year. He can play for any club. Romulo also did well with us.

“We are losing these players, but want to do well next season and repeat the excellent results of this campaign.”
