Liverpool transfers: ‘Luis Suarez would be a great signing for Barcelona’
Liverpool striker Luis Suárez would be a big hit at Barcelona, according to Gerard Deulofeu
Gerard Deulofeu believes that Luis Suarez would be a big hit at Barcelona should he complete his expected move from Liverpool this summer.
The Uruguay forward is widely tipped to leave Anfield to join the Catalan giants in a deal that could be worth up to £75m for the Premier League club.
If he comes he would be a great signing
And Deulofeu, who returned to Barcelona this summer following his loan spell at Everton last term, expects the 27-year-old to be a success should he move to Spain.
“He [Suarez] is a very interesting player,” Deulofeu told El Mundo Deportivo.
“For me, he’s one of the best strikers in the world and if he comes he would be a great signing.”
Suarez scored 31 Premier League goals for Liverpool last season as he was crowned the PFA player of the year.
Deulofeu also insisted that he has developed as a playing following his loan spell at Goodison Park.
“I really want to start the season, for everything to go well and to win everything with Barca,” he added.
“I worked hard at Everton, I learned many things and I was lucky enough to achieve my goal of returning home.
“I learned personally and in football. Until you’re away, and you have no family, the food, the weather, you don’t know what you have and you learn to value things.”
