Liverpool transfers: Pepe Reina is set to stay at the Reds beyond the summer transfer window

Pepe Reina is set to remain at Liverpool beyond the summer transfer window, the goalkeeper’s agent has claimed.
The 31-year-old was expected to seal a permanent move away from Anfield in the coming months after a season-long loan at Napoli during the 2013/14 campaign.
However, Napoli don’t appear likely to snap up Reina, whilst Barcelona, who were previously linked with the Reds shot stopper, have already signed two new goalkeeper this summer.
And Reina’s agent Manuel Garcia Quillon moved to end the speculation surrounding the former Villarreal man and stated that the Spain international will be at Anfield next season.
“I know rumours are circulating about Reina’s future. But I can confirm that next season Pepe will play for Liverpool,” Manuel Garcia Quillon told Tuttonapoli.it.
“Reina will respect his deal with the English side.”
Reina won the Coppa Italia during his season-long loan under former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, who led the Merseyside outfit to the FA Cup crown in 2006 and Champions League final in 2007 with the Spanish shot stopper in goal.
