Pepe Reina admits that he is unsure about his Liverpool future beyond the summer following his loan spell at Napoli last season.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper spent the 2013-14 campaign at the Italian club and has been linked with a permanent switch to the Serie A side in recent weeks.

But the Spaniard has revealed that he has not yet held talks with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers about his future and is planning to return to Merseyside ahead of the new campaign.

“Of course I’m with my team, Liverpool. I have a contract for two more years and I haven’t yet spoken with the coach,” Reina told El Mundo Deportivo.

“I’m finishing my holiday and my agent is in charge of these things.

“I wasn’t hopeful of joining Barca this year. Last summer there was other contact but in the last season I have focused on doing well with Napoli and little else.”
