Jan Vertonghen’s agent has claimed that there are “several” clubs interested in prising the defender away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The Belgium international’s future has been a subject of speculation in recent months following Spurs’ failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Both Barcelona and Liverpool have been touted as possible destinations for the 27-year-old centre-half, who moved to White Hart Lane from Ajax in 2012.
And his agent, Mustapha Nakhli, gave little away when quizzed about his client’s future beyond the summer.
“Several teams are interested in Jan,” Nakhli told Het Nieuwsblad.
“I cannot confirm or deny whether Barcelona are one of them.”
“Tottenham is not a small club. It’s too soon to give them an answer. Several clubs have registered their interest in Jan. We’ll see.”
Vertonghen started 23 Premier League games for Tottenham last season, making seven appearances in the Europa League.
