Wilfried Bony can join a top Champions League club if Swansea receive the right price for the Liverpool target, according to Huw Jenkins.

The Reds are expected to step up their interest in Bony after Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy failed a medical with Liverpool at the weekend.

And Swansea chairman Jenkins admitted that the Welsh outfit won’t stand in the way of the Ivory Coast international if they receive a satisfactory offer.

“Wilfried Bony is a fantastic professional,” Jenkins told talkSPORT.

“If a top Champions League club comes in, and puts the right offer on the table, then of course we will speak to him.

“There are no issues with Bony. He’s a great guy to have around the club.

“As much as we want players to stay with us for a number of years, we have to be open.”

Bony scored 16 goals and made four assists in 34 Premier League appearances last season following his move to Swansea from FC Twente.
