Louis van Gaal vows to ‘do his best’ at Man United
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal hopes to bring success to the Red Devils
Louis van Gaal has promised to do his best at Manchester United as the Dutchman prepares to take his first Red Devils training session this week.
The 62-year-old, who signed a three-year deal in May, is set to begin work with his new club after his Netherlands side were 3-0 winners against World Cup hosts Brazil in the third-place play-off on Saturday night.
I will do my best. Whether that’s enough for the fans I will wait and see but I genuinely hope that will be the case

Van Gaal has led Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich to top-flight titles during a decorated managerial career, as well as masterminding the Dutch side’s Champions League triumph in 1995.
And Van Gaal urged the Red Devils squad to stay united as he bids to transform the fortunes of the club after their seventh-place finish last term.
“I wasn’t able to do it with Ajax, Bayern Munich or Barcelona,” Van Gaal said. “Losing is just part of the job.”
He added: “I hope at Manchester United I can do my best.
