Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that the Spanish club will “seriously study” any offers for Alex Song this summer.

The Cameroon international’s future at Camp Nou has been the subject of speculation in recent days after he was limited to just 12 La Liga starts last season.

The 26-year-old has been touted as a target for Manchester United, with Chelsea also reported to be interested in the defensive midfielder.

Now, Barcelona chief Bartomeu has hinted that the La Liga outfit are willing to let Song leave the club ahead of next season.

“When we see an opportunity and we see real interest, we will seriously study it,” Bartomeu told El Mundo Deportivo when asked about Song.

Song has struggled to hold down a starting spot at Barcelona following his £15m move to Camp Nou from Arsenal in 2012, making just 39 league appearances since his transfer.
