Man United transfers: Paul Scholes talks up Toni Kroos and Sami Khedira
Man United transfers: Paul Scholes says Sami Khedira and Toni Kroos would improve any midfield in the world
Paul Scholes says any club in the world would jump at the chance to sign Germany stars Sami Khedira and Toni Kroos.
The pair have impressed in Germany’s midfield at the World Cup in Brazil, helping Joachim Low’s side reach Sunday’s final against Argentina.
Any club in the world would love that midfield
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich star Kroos for some time, while Real Madrid midfielder Khedira has also been touted as a target for the Red Devils in recent days.
And Scholes says the pair, along with Bastian Sweinsteiger, would improve any midfield in the world.
“When you look at Sami Khedira, Toni Kroos and Bastian Schweinsteiger – any club in the world would love that midfield. They’re proper players,” Scholes wrote in a blog for Paddy Power.
“Against Brazil, I thought Khedira might be the one sitting back to break up play but it was Schweinsteiger, at times almost playing centre half, dictating play.
“Khedira and Kroos were powering forward, Marcelo couldn’t handle Thomas Muller, and the goals and performance were a joy to watch. It was sensational.”
