Man United transfers: ‘Red Devils need eight or nine new players’
Man United transfers: Gary Neville feels that the Red Devils still need a major overhaul ahead of next season
Gary Neville does not believe Louis van Gaal will be a “revolution” at Manchester United – unless the Red Devils sign eight or nine players this summer.
The 62-year-old is set to take over at Old Trafford after his Netherlands side conclude their World Cup campaign with Saturday’s third-place play-off against Brazil.
United have already signed Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera this summer, but former defender Neville feels that the Red Devils still need significant reinforcements ahead of next season.
“I don’t think he’ll be a revolution unless they sign seven, eight or nine players,” Neville told Sky Sports News.
“I think that at the moment it will be a case of getting the maximum out of the players that are there, and organising himself quickly into understanding which players he wants to move forward with him.
“But his experience is enough, and I do think he’ll do well.”
