Man United transfers: Red Devils ‘should have signed Bruno Martins Indi’

Bryan Robson says Bruno Martins Indi would have been a perfect signing for Manchester United this summer.

The 22-year-old Netherlands defender joined Porto from Feyenoord last week on a four-year deal after enjoying an impressive World Cup under new Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal.

And United legend Robson feels that Martins Indi would have been an ideal recruit for the Old Trafford outfit this summer.

“He really impressed me in Brazil, especially against Argentina when they were up against it,” Robson said.

“He had a really good tournament. He had a big presence on the pitch and we need someone like that.”

Martins Indi has been capped 22 times at international level, scoring twice for the Netherlands.
