Man United transfers: ‘Red Devils won’t move for Sneijder or Robben’
Man United transfers: Bolo Zenden does not expect the Red Devils to make moves for the Dutch duo this summer
Manchester United won’t be swooping for Wesley Sneijder or Arjen Robben this summer, according to Bolo Zenden.
The Netherlands pair have been touted as possible targets for new manager Louis van Gaal as the 62-year-old looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
However, former Holland international Zenden doesn’t expect Van Gaal to bring any of his Dutch squad with him to Old Trafford.
“No, I don’t see that happening,” Zenden told talkSPORT.
“I’m sure he will bring in some players but I’m not sure he will bring any players in from this [Netherlands] group.”
Speculation linking United with Sneijder gathered pace this week after Galatasaray revealed that the midfielder has a £16m release clause in his contract.
“Wesley Sneijder has a release clause set at €20m (£16m),” said Galatasaray president Unal Aysal.
“Any team that give us that money and he wants to go, we can’t keep him. Legally speaking, we have no right.”
