Man United transfers: Feyenoord defender Stefan De Vrij is flattered by interest being shown from Lazio and the Red Devils

Stefan De Vrij is flattered by the current speculation surrounding the Netherlands World Cup star amid reports Manchester United want the defender.
The Netherlands international has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford following his impressive performances under Louis van Gaal, who signed a three-year deal with the Reds Devils in May.
De Vrij has played a vital role in the Oranje’s run to the semi-finals, joining fellow Dutch team-mates Arjen Robben and Daley Blind in being linked with a summer switch to the 13-time Premier League champions.
United could face competition from Lazio for the centre-half’s signature, and De Vrij is thrilled to be linked with a host of European clubs.
“It is pleasing to be targeted by clubs from other Leagues,” De Vrij said.
“The experience at the World Cup has been very important for my growth. I was able to improve match by match.”
De Vrij has scored seven goals in 153 appearances for Feyenoord after making his debut in September 2009.
