Toni Kroos says he will announce his decision regarding his future after the World Cup amid reports the Bayern Munich star is set to join Manchester United.

The Germany international’s future has been a source of constant speculation in recent months after failing to strike a new deal with the reigning Bundesliga champions.

I want to play the World Cup, and when that’s finished, then you will know my decision

Kroos, who has a year remaining on his current deal, has been heavily linked with a switch to United, whilst Chelsea and Real Madrid are also potential destinations.

And the 24-year-old, who has 49 Germany caps, isn’t planning to shed light on his next career move until after the World Cup, with Joachim Low’s men set to face Brazil on Tuesday.

“I read things. It’s hard not to find out. But I’ve already said that nothing has been finalised,” Kroos is quoted as saying in German newspaper TZ.

“First, I want to play the World Cup, and when that’s finished, then you will know my decision, I will publish it myself. In the meantime, there’s nothing else to say. There’s one week left in the World Cup, then…you’ll know more.”

Kroos has scored 23 goals in 176 appearances in all competitions.
