Man United transfers: Yaya Toure’s agent rules out Man City exit
Man United transfers: Yaya Toure will "100 per cent" be staying at Man City this summer, says agent
Yaya Toure will “100 per cent” be staying at Manchester City this summer, the midfielder’s agent has declared.
The Ivory Coast international’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks after he suggested that he feels undervalued at Etihad Stadium following the club’s failure to acknowledge his birthday.
I will always honour my contract and don’t think about all the speculation
The 31-year-old, who scored 20 goals and made nine assists to help City win the Premier League last season, has been touted as a target for big-spending Paris Saint-Germain and most recently Manchester United.
However, agent Dimitri Seluk insists that the midfielder will be staying at Eithad Stadium next season.
“I would like to say Yaya will stay at Manchester City 100 per cent,” Seluk told Sky Sports News.
“He won’t go to any club and everybody can stop the speculation about this. The newspapers write that Yaya goes to Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United. Yaya will stay at Manchester city 100 per cent.”
The player himself added that he is already looking forward to helping City try to defend the Premier League title next term.
Toure said: “I want to say that I will always honour my contract and don’t think about all the speculation. It will be a pleasure to stay and try to enjoy next season.”
