Arsenal are put through their paces at a sweltering London Colney as the Gunners prepare for Boreham Wood friendly
Arsenal continued their preparations for the new season with a training session at their London Colney base on a sweltering Friday.
Temperatures in the capital soared to 30C as Arsene Wenger’s squad made their final preparations for their pre-season friendly at Boreham Wood on Saturday.
Wenger is expected to name a relatively strong team to face the Conference South side, and first-team regulars Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky and Wojciech Szczesny were among the players in action on Friday.
The Boreham Wood game is Arsenal’s first official match since their FA Cup final win over Hull City at Wembley back in May. The Gunners then play New York Red Bulls on 26 July before the Emirates Cup on the weekend on 2-3 August.
Arsenal complete their preparations for the new Premier League season with the Community Shield clash against Manchester City at Wembley on 10 August.
