Liverpool continue their tour of USA as Brendan Rodgers’s side train at prestigious Princeton University.

The Premier League runners-up geared up for their next pre-season friendly against English champions Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Gerrard was the most popular attraction amongst local Liverpool supporters who turned out to see the Reds continue their preparation for the new season.

“I’m really pleased with how it’s all coming along,” reflected Rodgers. “The World Cup players have only really just come back. They’ve only really been with the squad in the last week or so.

“I’ve been delighted. I know this group well and know the players coming in are suited and will fit what we’re trying to do.

“The most important date for me is the Southampton game. Come that game, we’ll be ready – the players have shown they’re well on track towards that.”

Here are the best of the photos from Liverpool’s training session on Monday.
