Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he won’t stand in the way of Steven Caulker’s proposed move to Queens Park Rangers.

The Hoops have reportedly agreed a £5m deal with relegated Cardiff City to sign the England international in the summer transfer window.

And Bluebirds manager Solskjaer, who replaced Malky Mackay in January, confirmed that Caulker is free to complete a move to the west London side.

“It’s up to Steven if he goes,” Solskjaer told the Express.

“Of course the lure of the Premier League might be too much for us to hope he might stay here. He has to make that decision.”

Caulker scored five goals in 39 appearances for Cardiff following his £8m switch to the Welsh outfit from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.
