Cesc Fabregas is “very happy” about his decision to join Chelsea from Barcelona this summer, according to Santi Cazorla.

The Spain midfielder completed a move to Stamford Bridge last month after spending three seasons at Camp Nou following his switch from Arsenal in August 2011.

Arsenal turned down the chance to re-sign the playmaker before Chelsea moved to bring the 27-year-old to west London, as the Blues also wrapped up a deal to sign Spain striker Diego Costa.

And Cazorla has revealed that Fabregas is pleased with his decision to join Arsenal’s London rivals.

“Both of them [Fabregas and Costa] are great players,” Cazorla told Goal.

“I’ve spoken to Cesc and he’s very happy, it’s football – great players move clubs.”

Fabregas scored eight goals and made 13 assists in 36 La Liga games for Barcelona last season.
