Santi Cazorla: Germany’s World Cup run can help Arsenal
Santi Cazorla is hoping that Arsenal's Germany stars will gain a confidence boost by winning the World Cup on Sunday

Santi Cazorla says Arsenal’s Germany stars would benefit from a huge boost in confidence should they help their country win the World Cup on Sunday.
Gunners players Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski are all part of the side to have reached this weekend’s showpiece against Argentina in Brazil.
And Cazorla is hoping that the trio can continue their success at club level next season should they lift the trophy on Sunday night.
“I’ve been in touch with a lot of my team-mates, especially those who are still involved with Germany, wishing them luck and hoping to see them soon,” Cazorla told Goal.
“It’s a great bonus for them and, if they come back world champions, that will be great for them and a confidence boost that hopefully they can bring to Arsenal next season, too.”
Cazorla, who was part of the Spain team who failed to get past the group stage in Brazil, added: “I’ve recovered a little bit – it was a big disappointment at the World Cup, of course, but I’m happy to be back at Arsenal and I’m ready to start training again.”
