Tottenham transfers: Hugo Lloris urges Spurs to spend wisely
Tottenham transfers: Hugo Lloris wants Spurs to spend their transfer budget wisely this summer

Hugo Lloris is expecting Tottenham Hotspur to spend big this summer – but warned the north London club to select their targets wisely.
Spurs splashed out more that £100m in last summer’s transfer window following Gareth Bale’s big-money departure to Real Madrid.
They have a lot of money to spend and now it is up to the leaders to spend it well

But the spree ended up proving fruitless as Andre Villas-Boas was sacked in December before Spurs finished sixth in the Premier League under Tim Sherwood.
Tottenham are expected to bring in a number of new players following the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s new manager – and goalkeeper Lloris is expecting to see some new arrivals at White Hart Lane.
“Of course, now they have a lot of money to spend and now it is up to the leaders to spend it well,” Lloris told Tutto Mercato.
And when asked whether Spurs could move to sign his France team-mate Antoine Griezmann – who has also been linked with Arsenal – Lloris added: “He is a target for many top teams at European level, so he will have many choices.”
