Tottenham transfers: Swansea City confirm that the north London club have been in touch over the availability of Ben Davies

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed that Tottenham have expressed an interest in signing Ben Davies this summer.

New Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be keen to bring Davies to White Hart Lane this summer to bolster his options at left-back.

And Jenkins has revealed that the north London club have made initial contact with the Swans about the 21-year-old’s availability.

“There’s a lot of speculation about Ben at the moment, as there is with a lot of players at this time of year,” Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.

“There was an initial interest from Tottenham, but there has been nothing since.”

Davies scored two goals and made one assist in 34 Premier League appearances for Swansea City last season.
