Tottenham’s tour can bring squad together, says Etienne Capoue
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue is looking forward to Spurs's pre-season tour of USA and Canada
Etienne Capoue believes Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season tour will provide an opportunity for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad to “bond”.
The north London side are bidding to improve on their disappointing sixth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Chairman Daniel Levy moved quickly as he appointed Pochettino as Tim Sherwood’s successor at White Hart Lane in May.
And Capoue, who moved to Spurs from Toulouse last summer, hopes the Spurs squad can come together during their tour of the USA and Canada.
“With the Premier League season just around the corner, the tour will be very good for team bonding,” Capoue said.
“It can also boost team spirit when you all go away together and play against some of the biggest teams in the US and Canada.
“They’re good friendly games to play – it will be great to see Jermain Defoe again when we play Toronto – and all three teams have some very good players.
“It’s clear that the MLS is growing season by season.”
