Sam Allardyce has revealed that West Ham United are “very close” to completing a deal to sign Enner Valencia.

And Allardyce confirmed on Saturday that the east London club are hopeful of securing the Pachuca star’s signature in the coming days.
“We’re very close, but nothing is ever certain in this game with new signings until they have actually signed on the dotted line,” Allardyce said.
“We are very hopeful, there has been a lot of negotiation done by the chairman and hopefully that will pay off.”
Valencia, who played the full 90 minutes in all of his country’s World Cup games, has scored 18 times in 23 appearances for Mexican side Pachuca.
