Mario Balotelli is in line to make his Liverpool debut in Sunday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur – and Paddy Power are offering new customers enhanced odds of 5/1 on the striker to score and/or be sent off at White Hart Lane.

The Premier League is waiting with anticipation to see Balotelli return to action in the English top flight. The Italy international striker is never far from controversy and is sure to entertain in the coming seasons.

The 24-year-old joined Liverpool on a long-term contract from AC Milan last week in a deal worth around £16m.

Balotelli has been doing his best to endear himself to the Anfield faithful since then with a series of social media posts.

Balotelli is currently priced at around 9/5 with most bookmakers to score any time for his new club at White Hart Lane, so Paddy Power’s price boost to 5/1 is sure to tempt plenty of fans into a flutter ahead of Sunday’s game.

But with Balotelli’s controversial past in mind, the Irish bookmaker has included a bonus twist in the offer, with Paddy Power paying out at 5/1 should the forward score and/or be sent off in north London.

There is no doubt that all eyes will be on Balotelli at White Hart Lane, and the Italy striker is 13/2 to open the scoring against Spurs. He is also 13/2 to score last.

Liverpool were emphatic 5-0 winners at White Hart Lane last season after securing a result which effectively cost Andre Villas-Boas his job.

Taking a look at the result market, the Liverpool win is priced the same as a Spurs victory at 17/10, with the draw available at 9/4.
