Manchester United are put through their paces at Carrington ahead of their trip to Burnley in the Premier League

Angel di Maria took part in Manchester United training on Friday ahead of the Red Devils’ trip to Burnley on Saturday.

The £57.9m signing was put through his paces with the rest of Louis van Gaal’s side as they gear up for their trip to Turf Moor.

The Argentina international, who signed a five-year deal with the club after leaving Real Madrid on Tuesday, is in line to make his first appearance for the Red Devils in the Premier League this weekend.

United head to Burnley looking to pick up their first Premier League win under Van Gaal after the disappointing opening-day loss to Swansea City and last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Sunderland.

The Red Devils are yet to win a competitive game under Van Gaal following Tuesday’s shock League Cup exit at the hands of MK Dons.

“I am confident I will succeed here but I need time. We are building up a new team,” said Van Gaal.
