Mario Balotelli can’t wait for his Liverpool debut judging by the £16m signing’s Nintendo-inspired Reds photo from first-team training.

The 24-year-old has been training with his new team-mates this week after completing his surprise move to the Merseyside outfit on Monday.

Balotelli, who has signed a long-term deal with the Reds, could be in line to make his first Liverpool appearance at White Hart Lane.

And the former Manchester City striker will be calling upon his Super Mario powers, posting a light-hearted photo on his Instagram page.

“Yesterday training:-) head-tennis ! Lol,” posted Balotelli.
