Aaron Ramsey has backed Danny Welbeck to bring “something different” to Arsenal this season.

The striker signed a five-year deal with the north London club last week after Manchester United opted to led him leave in a £16m deal.

Welbeck, 23, scored twice to fire England to victory over Switzerland in Monday’s Euro 2016 qualifier in Basel.

And midfielder Ramsey is looking forward to linking up with the striker at Emirates Stadium.

“He showed for England what a good player he is with those two goals,” Ramsey told ITV Sport.

“He’s a player who is very good technically, can get in behind teams and score goals.

“I think he will bring something different – the runs in behind, his pace. His power and his finishing will benefit us for the rest of the season.”
