Arsenal

Wojciech Szczesny Nothing he could do about the first goal, perhaps could have done better with the second. 6/10

Mathieu Debuchy Rarely got forward to any great effect and went off injured with 10 minutes to go. 6

Per Mertesacker Generally solid but struggled when players were running at him. 6

Laurent Koscielny Carried the ball out of defence, and won his fair share of challenges in the air and on the ground. 6

Nacho Monreal Struggled against the pace of Navas and didn’t do enough to prevent the first goal. 5

Mathieu Flamini Dominated Lampard in the first half, not as effective in the second. 6

Jack Wilshere (Man of the match) Good performance, driving Arsenal forward. A great touch and finish to level the match with 27 minutes remaining. 8

Aaron Ramsey Really good ball to set up Wilshere to equalise, rarely wasted possession. 7

Alexis Sanchez Dribbled and ran at City superbly. Scored a stunning goal to give Arsenal the lead in the 74th minute. 8

Mesut Ozil The least effective of Arsenal’s attacking players. A disappointing performance. 5

Danny Welbeck Lively and perhaps should have grabbed a goal on his Arsenal debut. 7

Substitutes

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain N/A

Calum Chambers N/A

Mikel Arteta N/A

Man City

Joe Hart No chance with either goal, controlled his penalty area well. A commanding presence in the air. 6

Pablo Zabaleta Booked and struggled against Sanchez in the first half but much improved in the second. 6

Vincent Kompany Dominant in the air and marshaled his defence well. 7

Martin Demichelis Good header to get City back to 2-2, solid in defence as well. 7

Gael Clichy A good performance on his return to The Emirates. Made some smart runs going forward. 6

Fernandinho Slow start but grew into the game and started dominating the midfield. Substituted with City needing an equaliser. 8

Frank Lampard Struggled to get involved and booked for a late challenge on Ramsey. Subbed at half time. 5

Jesus Navas His pace made him a threat on the break and a great ball to set up Aguero for 1-0. 7

David Silva Really effective for City in the final third after a sloppy start to the game. 7

James Milner Not that involved on the left side of midfield but more consistent in the middle of the park. 6

Sergio Aguero Great run and finish to open the scoring, looked dangerous but subbed with 25 minutes to go. 7

Substitutes

Samir Nasri Came on at half-time and gave Debuchy problems. 6

Edin Dzeko Caused Arsenal problems in the air but probably should have won it for City. 6

Aleksandar Kolarov Great corner to make it 2-2. Looked dangerous in a left-wing position. 6
