Arsenal transfers: Arsene Wenger reveals that he is a keen admirer of PSG forward Edinson Cavani
Arsene Wenger has further fuelled the speculation linking Arsenal with a January swoop for Edinson Cavani after revealing his admiration for the Uruguayan forward.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward has been heavily linked with a move to the north London club in recent weeks amid reports that he is unsettled at the Ligue 1 outfit.
I like this player a lot, I like his spirit a lot
Now, Arsenal boss Wenger has conceded that he is a keen admirer of the 28-year-old, who is reportedly frustrated at being played out wide for the French club.
Wenger is quoted as having told French television station TF1: “I like this player a lot, I like his spirit a lot, but I feel like he is playing with his hand on the brakes.
“I have the impression that he is not expressing himself entirely.”
Cavani, who has also been linked with a transfer to Chelsea in recent months, has scored 28 goals in 48 games for Paris Saint-Germain since his move from Napoli in 2013.
