Jack Wilshere is hoping that England will be able to build on their 1-0 victory over Norway on Wednesday when they travel to Switzerland next week.

Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the friendly from the penalty spot at Wembley as Roy Hodgson’s men notched up their first win in five games.

England kick off their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign in Switzerland on Monday night – and Wilshere took to Twitter on Thursday morning to voice his post-match views.

Wilshere’s Arsenal team-mate Calum Chambers also tweeted his delight after the game as the teenager made his first senior England appearance.

Chambers played the final 10 minutes at Wembley after replacing Everton’s John Stones in Hodgson’s side.

Wembley was less than half full for England first match since their disappointing World Cup.
