Jürgen Klopp has warned his Borussia Dortmund side to expect a stern test against Arsenal’s “outstanding” new signings, Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez.

Arsene Wenger bolstered his squad with the addition of the duo over the summer, with Sanchez having scored in all three of his last appearances since his transfer from Barcelona.

And Klopp, whose side host the Gunners in the Champions League on Tuesday night, is wary of the threat posed by the duo.

“They have signed two outstanding players in Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, who will give them even more pace,” said Klopp.

“I’m expecting the Gunners to try and utilise this on Tuesday. But first and foremost, both teams will have to be fully focused and defend well.”
