And the Blues manager was disappointed to see Torres join Milan as opposed to Inter, who the Portuguese coach led to treble glory in 2010.
“However, I hope that he does equally well at Milan. What I can say about Fernando is that as a person and a professional, there is nothing to doubt about him,” Mourinho is quoted as saying.
“He’s a fantastic boy and a great professional. However, he needed a change of scenery.”
Torres scored 20 goals in 110 Premier League appearances for the west London side.
