Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to be drawn Jose Mourinho’s comments after the Chelsea manager described the pair’s relationship as being “non-existent”.

Mourinho guided Los Blancos to the La Liga title during his spell in charge at the Bernabeu, with Ronaldo a key part of their 2011-12 triumph.

The Blues boss said last week that the duo are no longer in touch with each other.

However, Ronaldo chose not to respond to Mourinho’s recent comments when quizzed about the situation on Tuesday night.

“It is an issue that is not important, what matters is Madrid,” said Ronaldo when asked about Mourinho’s remarks.

“It is fine for me personally, I want to help this shirt. On these topics, it is not for me to speak out.”

Mourinho had previously said: “The relationship between Ronaldo and myself is non-existent. He plays for Real Madrid, I’m the Chelsea manager. You would not find us hanging around together.”
