Daniel Sturridge pays tribute to Liverpool debutants Jordan Rossiter and Jordan Williams

Daniel Sturridge has paid tribute to Liverpool debutants Jordan Rossiter and Jordan Williams after the pair impressed in Tuesday’s League Cup win over Middlesbrough at Anfield.

Rossiter became the Reds’ second-youngest goalscorer aged 17 as Brendan Rodgers’ men beat Boro on penalties to reach the fourth round of the competition.

Williams also made a substitute appearance in the cup clash at Anfield.

And striker Sturridge, who is currently sidelined with a thigh injury praised the duo on Twitter after their Anfield bows.

Williams himself took to Twitter after the game to thank fans for the support he has received following his appearance.

He posted: “Thanks you all for the messages absolutely buzzing, and to of scored my pen in front of the Kop! Great support as usual!”
