Edin Dzeko is confident that Manchester City have what it takes to beat Arsenal in the Premier League next weekend.

The Citizens travel to Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime looking to bounce back from their shock 1-0 defeat by Stoke City in their last top-flight outing.

We mustn’t ignore Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, or United

City were held to a 1-1 draw by Arsene Wenger’s men in north London last term – but striker Dzeko is backing Manuel Pellegrini’s men to seal victory this weekend.

“[The Arsenal game] will be difficult but I’m an optimist,” Dzeko told City’s website.

“As with every season, there are several teams that will battle for the title of champions in England.

“This season Chelsea might be the most serious challenger but we mustn’t ignore Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, or [Manchester] United, who will certainly be much stronger than last year.

“After all, everyone has got stronger and everyone wants to be first.”
