Falcao arrival could cause problems at Man United, warns Wilkins
Ray Wilkins says the arrival of Radamel Falcao at Manchester United could cause "a few problems"
Ray Wilkins believes that the arrival of Radamel Falcao at Manchester United could cause “a few problems” for Louis van Gaal.
The Red Devils secured the signing of the 28-year-old forward on a season-long loan deal from Monaco on deadline day as Van Gaal bolstered his attacking options.
It’s going to be very difficult to give everyone game time
United also have the option to buy the Colombia international at the end of his temporary spell at Old Trafford.
But former United midfielder Wilkins feels that Falcao’s arrival could end up being “disruptive”.
“Sometimes you can have too many players,” Wilkins told talkSPORT. “The signing of Falcao may cause a few problems for Van Gaal.
“Everyone wants to play and, if they’re not in the side, then it could be a little bit disruptive.
“It’s going to be very difficult to give everyone game time, especially now they’re out of Capital One Cup.”
Deadline day also saw striker Danny Welbeck head to Arsenal from United on a permanent deal.
