Faustino Asprilla is convinced that Radamel Falcao will prove himself to be one of the best strikers in the world at Manchester United this season.

The Colombia international joined the Red Devils on a season-long loan deal last week and could make his move from Monaco permanent next summer.

He is among the best in the world in that position

And former Colombia and Newcastle United forward Asprilla feels sure that the 28-year-old will prove to be a shrewd acquisition.

“I think it’s fair to say Falcao’s move to Manchester United took everybody by surprise but I’m sure they have selected the right man to help the team,” Asprilla told Sky Sports News HQ.

“He’s a great goal-scorer, a natural finisher and he is among the best in the world in that position.

“He will be fine because he has had ample time to recover and his therapy has been great so he should be 100 per cent. I’m sure he will do very well for Manchester United.”
