The Premier League season may be just four weeks old, but Dejan Lovren is already relishing Liverpool’s trip to Old Trafford on 13 December.

The Croatia international moved to Liverpool in a £20m deal from Southampton in the summer transfer window, penning a long-term deal.

Lovren has become an instant hit at Anfield, making four successive Premier League starts and helping the Reds beat Ludogorets 2-1 on Tuesday night.

But the 25-year-old centre-half has one particular fixture ring fenced in his mind as Lovren looks forward to facing Manchester United as a Liverpool player for the first time.

Lovren was rated as one of the best centre-halves in the Premier League last season after moving to Southampton in 2013.

The former Lyon defender is hoping to become a Liverpool legend after calling time on his brief year-long Saints career.
