Liverpool owner John W Henry has finally snapped after taking to Twitter to acknowledge that the Reds fans want to sign Marco Reus.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder was linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United throughout the summer transfer window.

Henry was bombarded with requests to sign the Germany international every time the Reds chief took to his Twitter account.

Liverpool made eight signings in the off-season, including big-name arrivals such as controversial Italy international Mario Balotelli.

But it appears Liverpool fans are still demanding that the American owner make a swoop for the highly-rated 25-year-old forward.

And it prompted Henry to engage in some transfer banter with his club’s supporters on Wednesday night, unless the Liverpool owner is planning to dig deep into his pockets this January.

Judging by the 12,507 favourites and 7,669 retweets at the time of writing, Henry could be getting many more Reus-related tweets before next January.
