Xherdan Shaqiri is open to a potential move away from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window, according to his representative.

The Switzerland international was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool during the summer, although a move to Anfield didn’t materialise.

We will wait and see how much he gets to play

Shaqiri is facing an uphill battle to secure a regular starting spot at the Bundesliga champions, scoring six goals in 17 top-flight appearances.

And the Bayern playmaker’s brother and representative Erdin Shaqiri says the 22-year-old will weigh up his future ahead of the January transfer window.

“We will wait and see how much he gets to play, then we’ll consider what to do,” representative and brother Erdin Shaqiri told Tuttosport.

Shaqiri was unable to prevent Switzerland suffering a 2-0 loss to England in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier on Tuesday night.

The Bayern midfielder has scored 10 goals in 45 Bundesliga appearances since moving to the Bavarian side from Basel in 2012.
