Loic Remy has revealed his delight at helping Chelsea secure victory in his first appearance for the west London club.

The France forward scored the Blues’ fourth goal on Saturday as Jose Mourinho’s men ran out 4-2 winners over Swansea City to keep their place at the top of the Premier League table.

And the 27-year-old was thrilled to have found the net following his £10.5m transfer from Queens Park Rangers last month.

“It was a good day for all the team, but especially for me,” Remy told Chelsea’s website.

“I was very excited before the game because it was the first time for me on the bench with this team.

“The team played very well, the result is very good for us and I came on and scored which is what you ask for as a striker. I was very happy to score this goal and I will try to keep going.”
