Marcos Rojo is backing Angel Di Maria to be a huge success at Manchester United this season.

The Red Devils sealed a British record £59.7m deal to bring the winger to Old Trafford from Real Madrid last month, with Di Maria making his United bow in the goalless draw with Burnley.

And Di Maria’s fellow Argentina international Rojo feels that the 26-year-old will be a huge hit in the Premier League.

“He’s got a lot of quality,” Rojo told Perform. “He is very sharp and very fast so he can help a lot attacking in the second line.”

Rojo also expressed his delight at moving to United following his switch from Sporting Lisbon.

“It is a huge step forward in my career and my life and I am very happy to play for one of the best clubs in the world at the moment,” Rojo added.

“There are some great players [here]. We obviously need to give time so the new manager can build his team but, with the great names we have in our squad and the intelligence of the manager, I am sure many achievements will come along.”
