Nacer Chadli says he is determined to make the most of his second chance at Tottenham Hotspur under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Belgium international, who was part of Marc Wilmots’s squad that reached the World Cup last eight, has been one of Spurs’s outstanding performers in the opening weeks of the Premier League season.

The 25-year-old scored a brace in a 4-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at White Hart Lane, taking his tally to three Premier League goals since moving from Twente last season.

And Chadli is enjoying life under Pochettino after struggling to impress his predecessor, Tim Sherwood.

“I am looking forward and with the new manager coming in, it has given me another chance,” Chadli told Tottenham’s website.

“We all know what we have to do on the pitch and what it takes to play in the Premier League.

“Against QPR we had Emmanuel Adebayor at the top and then behind him, we had me, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela, and we were all encouraged to change positions during the game.

“That makes it very difficult for opponents to choose which one of us to pick up.”
