Paul Scholes: Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck will never score 20 goals a season
Paul Scholes believes that Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck will "never be a 20-25 goals-a-season man"
Paul Scholes believes that Danny Welbeck will “never be a 20-25 goals-a-season man” but admitted he was sad to see the striker leave Manchester United to join Arsenal.
The 23-year-old forward signed a five-year deal with the Gunners on Monday after being deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

And although former United midfielder Scholes was disappointed to see Welbeck leave the club, he doesn’t feel that the Red Devils will be missing a prolific goal-scorer.
“Naturally, I was sad, as a United fan, to see Welbeck leave this week,” Scholes told the Independent.
“My feeling was that if he could have got through this transfer window and stayed at the club he could have been a part of United’s future over the next few years.
“It shows how highly regarded Danny is that a club as big as Arsenal signed him. He will be a good signing for Arsene Wenger.
“Danny will never be a 20-25 goals-a-season man but he could get Arsenal 10 to 15.”
