Calum Chambers declared that he is buzzing to secure three points and a clean sheet after Arsenal were 3-1 winners at Aston Villa.

The Gunners broke the deadlock when Danny Welbeck teed up Mesut Ozil for his first Premier League goal of the season.

Ozil turned provider moments later as he crossed for Welbeck, who sidefooted his finish past Brad Guzan from close ranger.

Villa defender Aly Cissokho deflected a Kieran Gibbs shot into his own net to cap a crazy six-minute period before half-time.

And Arsenal summer signing Chambers, who was deputising for injured right-back Mathieu Debuchy, was thrilled to seal three points at Villa Park.

Chambers posted on Instagram: “Buzzing to get a win and a clean sheet! Thank you to all the travelling fans for your support.”

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was similarly satisfied with Arsenal’s performance in Birmingham.

“It was the response we needed after Tuesday,” Wenger said.

“Aston Villa started quite well and they had one or two dangerous situations, but after that we were in control and we scored three goals in three minutes.

“Then in the second half it was a possession game, a controlled game, because they didn’t come out too much. Overall it’s still a convincing win where [Danny] Welbeck scored, [Mesut] Ozil scored, and that’s important as well.”
