Calum Chambers says it was an “amazing feeling” to make his first England appearance on Wednesday night.

The Arsenal defender made his England debut as an 80th minute substitute as Roy Hodgson’s men were 1-0 winners against Norway at Wembley.

Chambers, who replaced John Stones at the home of English football, has been one of the surprise packages in the opening weeks of the season.

The 19-year-old has started three Arsenal games following a £16m move to the north London side from Southampton in the summer transfer window.

And Chambers took to Instagram to post a photo of his first England shirt, capping his rise and rise in domestic and international football.

“Amazing feeling to play for my country, thank you to everyone for all the support!” Chambers posted.

Chambers made his Premier League debut in 2013, racking up 24 top-flight appearances during his breakthrough season at Southampton.
