Robert Pires came out of retirement on Saturday, and the Arsenal legend celebrated the move by getting dinner with current Gunners star Olivier Giroud.

The former France international, who is 40, has agreed to join the Indian Super League side FC Goa for the tournament which starts in October and runs until December.

Pires is best remembered for being part of Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles side which went the 2003/04 campaign unbeaten, winning the Premier League title.

And the former Marseille man, who also joined Instagram on a very busy Saturday for the ex-midfielder, posted a photo alongside injured Arsenal forward Giroud.

Earlier on Saturday, Pires announced his decision to join FC Goa on his new Instagram page.

“Excited to play for FC Goa at the inaugural season of the Indian Super League #india#goa#heroisl#fcgoa,” Pires posted.

Pires made 284 appearances in six years at Arsenal, winning five major trophies.
